Scholarship Information

The Marshall N. White Community Center’s Fee Reduction and Scholarship Program helps reduce or eliminate program fees for qualifying low-income families living within Ogden City limits. This program ensures that youth under 18 can participate in community and recreation programs at a reduced cost or for free, depending on available funding. Eligibility is based on household income, residency, and proper documentation. Approved applicants can access Marshall N. White Center programs and memberships at a discounted rate. Annual reapplication is required, and consistent attendance and positive behavior are expected.

Learn to Swim Scholarship Program

The purpose of the Learn to Swim Scholarship Program is to provide opportunities for families experiencing financial hardship to access swimming lessons (and a free swimsuit if needed) as swimming lessons save lives, and everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim.

Criteria: To qualify for a Learn to Swim scholarship, applicants must be residents of Ogden City and meet one of the following qualifications:

  • Currently accepted into the Fee Waiver Program provided by Ogden City Recreation.
  • Participant in the Free and Reduced Lunch program.
  • Participant in the Head Start Program.
  • Recipient of Medicaid, SSI, TANF, SNAP, or other public assistance programs.
  • Proof of GEHA insurance coverage.

Submission: The application and proof of criteria can be submitted in one of the following ways:
