What to Expect After CRT
The Concept Review Team (CRT) meeting is a pre-application advisory meeting. It provides useful guidance for project planning but does not replace the full application review process(es).
After the CRT meeting, your project will still need to:
- Be formally submitted for review through the appropriate application process(es)
- Undergo detailed reviews by City departments
- Respond to review correction reports (if required)
- Resubmit revised plans and associated documents until your project fully complies with City codes and standards
Even if you attend CRT, additional corrections, clarifications, or conditions may still come up during the formal application review(s). CRT is designed to help you prepare, but it does not guarantee approval.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Does attending the CRT mean my project is approved?
A: No. CRT provides early feedback to help you prepare, but it does not result in approval. Your project will still need to be submitted and reviewed in full through the appropriate application process(es).
Q: Can I skip CRT and just submit an application?
A: You may be able to submit some applications without CRT, but it’s highly recommended for complex or large-scale projects. CRT often identifies key issues early, saving time later.
Q: Will I receive a list of everything I need to fix after CRT?
A: You’ll receive a summary of staff comments, but this is not exhaustive. Formal application review(s) may uncover additional items.
Q: What happens after CRT?
A: You submit your formal application(s) and supporting documents. City staff then begin the standard review process(es), which may involve multiple rounds of comments and plan revisions.
