License Required

A business license is the city's permission to operate a legal business within the boundaries of Ogden City and is required per OMC (Ogden Municipal Code) 5-1A-2. In OMC 5-1A-1 the term "BUSINESS" includes every trade, occupation, profession or activity engaged in within the city with the object of gain or economic profit.

Business License Renewals

IMPORTANT: Business License Renewals Notices are no longer sent via mail. They are now sent electronically to the email address provided when applying for your license. 

To renew your business license please visit our online portal: onestop.ogdencity.com. You will need to login or set up an account using one of the contacts associated with your license. Please attach any state licenses, certifications, or professional licenses and verify your employee count. Once you have completed the renewal request, you will receive an additional email, within 3-5 business days, with your invoice number to pay your licensing fees. If you have already renewed your license AND have paid your fees, you will receive an email allowing you to print your business license.
