HEATHER JOY ZELCH
"Roots & Ragdolls"
Heather Joy Zelch is a lover of people, especially children, and of life! As a largely self-taught artist, her preferred medium is acrylics expressed through abstract figurativism. My art is infused with a sense of twirl, hope, dance, and mystery. My pursuit is to bring about human reminiscence of days, moments, and memories where life is carefree and filled with effervescence. My art is defined by certain techniques of intergrading line work within layers of under-painting and much dry brushing. My style and breadth of artwork is interpreted by this continual technique causing the spectrum of imagery to differ with each piece. My goal in each piece is to hide yet simultaneously unveil riddles. I find my passion in painting with a vibrant color palette in subtle to semi-bold textures to bring my art to life; this is my dance on the canvas. My artwork invokes patience for study and to see beyond the obvious, a story to breathe momentum into lives, communities, and societies.
