About the budget process
Each year, the Ogden City mayor presents a proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The City Council then carefully reviews the budget by department to understand the needs and challenges the city is facing. The Council and administration then work together to address any concerns and make further changes before the final budget is adopted.
With roughly 40 percent of the city’s revenue being taxes, input from Ogden residents is a crucial component of the budget process.
