On Tuesday, Feb. 4, the Ogden City Council elected Council Member Marcia White as the Council Chair and Council Member Richard Hyer as the Council Vice Chair for the 2025 calendar year.
Chair White is entering her 12th year of service on the City Council, having previously served as Chair in 2016 and 2017 and as Vice Chair in 2024, 2021, and 2015.
“I’m excited to see how we can continue building on progress,” Chair White said to the Council. “I appreciate the opportunity to lead this group.”
Vice Chair Hyer has been a member of the Ogden City Council since 2012. He served as Council Chair in 2014, 2015, and 2018, and as Vice Chair in 2017.
“I look forward to working with Chair White for the next year,” Vice Chair Hyer said. “I look forward to making sure all of your voices are heard. I’m honored to have been elected to this position.”
Following the vote, Council Members expressed their appreciation to Ken Richey and Marcia White for their service as Chair and Vice Chair.
