Nestled in the heart of Ogden, Ogden City Cemetery is a serene and beautifully maintained resting place that honors the legacy of our community. Established in 1851, this expansive 60-acre cemetery provides a tranquil setting where families can reflect, remember, an pay tribute to loved ones.
With its rich history, the cemetery features unique sections, including a Pioneer Section dedicated to Ogden's earliest settlers and Military Sections that stand as a tribute to the brave veterans who served our nation.

Office staff will be on-site for extended hours during Memorial weekend. They are available to help locate gravesites and answer any questions.

Tributes
During the Maintenance Season (March 15 through October 15), only the following items are permitted on graves:
- Approved vase pos
- One approved shepherd hook, place in an approved location
All other items, including: artificial flowers, flags, stuffed animals, cans, solar lights, unapproved or glass vases, fences, and other decorations are not allowed and will be removed.
Outside of maintenance season, additional items may be placed; however, they are subject to removal if they scatter, or become unsightly.
Cleanup Schedule
Cemetery personnel perform an annual cleaning the 3rd Monday in March and the 1st Monday in June, each year
New Graves
Cemetery staff may remove flowers on new graves as early as seven (7) days after the service.
Memorial Day
Decorations can be placed on graves starting the Thursday before Memorial Day until the Sunday after. After this period, they must be removed and maintenance season guidelines should be adhered to.
Holiday/Seasonal Decorations
Holiday and seasonal decorations will be removed as early as 1 month after the holiday, when outside of the maintenance season.

FAQ
- The Ogden City Cemetery opens one hour before sunrise and closes one hour after sunset.
- Planting of trees, shrubs, and rose bushes, and the placement of statues is prohibited without sexton approval.
- The opening and closing of graves may only be performed by authorized Ogden City employees.
- Fifteen (15) miles per hour is the speed limit in the Cemetery.
- Dogs are allowed in the cemetery while on a leash and owners must clean up after them.
- Headstones are the property of the family. The upkeep and repair of headstones is the family's responsibility. Ogden City will not be responsible of inadvertent damage that may occur from routine maintenance.
